Background of the Study
Conflict prevention is a critical aspect of peacebuilding, aiming to address root causes of disputes and foster harmonious coexistence. Public relations (PR) plays an essential role in conflict prevention by promoting dialogue, fostering understanding, and engaging stakeholders. In Wukari Local Government Area (LGA), Taraba State, ethnic and communal tensions have highlighted the need for effective conflict prevention strategies. According to Ochefu and Danjuma (2023), PR strategies such as community engagement, media advocacy, and crisis communication can significantly contribute to conflict prevention by addressing misinformation and fostering mutual respect.
